Thanks to all our partners in the UK - from Smurfit Kappa who make the boxes, to the children who fill them with such care, the teachers who organise it all, and Nationwide who pays for the school leaflets, Northamptonshire County Council who produced the lesson plans, and DHL who collects all the boxes, flies them out to Africa, and their staff in Africa who help distribute them. Without your help none of this would be possible.

This year we're teaming up with the Really Good School Dinner Campaign run by the School Food Trust with the World Food Programme. This will make sure that even more hungry children in Africa get a healthy school dinner. Children from all schools across the country can sign up to this exciting campaign where they buy a school lunch and provide 10p to feed a hungry child. Sign up to the Really Good School Dinner and find out just how far your 10p can go, at www.getreal.uk.com/really-good-school-dinner.Registration opens 21 September 2009.

The UN World Food Programme is right in the front of the battle against the global food crisis, and is the bigges humanitarian organisation in the world.  Last year it supported a massive 102 million people in 78 countries.

Schools for Africa is a registered charity. The Trustees are Sally Keeble MP, John Bercow MP, Dr Jack Lambert, Dora Dixon-Fylde, Andrew Porter and Cathrine Russell
