It’s a big day – especially if it’s a first day at school or transfer to secondary school.
And for those who’ve finished school, I hope your exam results were what you wanted and wish you all the best as you take your next steps in life.
There’s lots to celebrate about our schools and the achievements of the children and young people in them.
However, there’s also a lot more that they could do if they had the funding. Especially hard hit are the children who need extra support.
In the coming weeks I’m going to be doing some work on the position of children who are waiting for an assessment of their special needs at school. So if your child is waiting for an Education, Health and Care needs assessment, do let me know.
